Documented Literary Analysis Paper
1. Choose a literary work—poem, short story, play, novel, or film.
2. Open this link—it contains a lot of good information: http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/618/01/
3. Use the library’s databases to find two reliable sources about the work—the sources MUST be from the library databases.
4. In light of what you have learned from the sources and your own insights, write a 1,000-word analysis of the work.
5. Think about the form of the work, the use of images, the symbols, the setting, the characters, etc.
6. The analysis is due at the end of class on Friday. Be very careful not to plagiarize. If there is plagiarism, the paper fails.
