ENGL 110 Summer 2008 Documented Argument Instructions

1.     The topic is the one you signed up for.

2.     The length is from 800 to 1,200 words—4 or 5 pages.

3.     The sources should total 5 and be from at least 3 different types—magazine, journal, newspaper, book, pamphlet, etc. I will accept one internet web site if it is trustworthy—government, university, reputable organization, etc.

4.     The style sheet—font, margins, spacing, etc.—are the same as always.

5.     The oral presentation is a presentation of your paper.

6.     The paper must be turned in by the end of class on the day listed on the calendar.

7.     Make sure you talk with me before you complete the paper--the sooner, the better.
