Abbey of
St. Victor This page is dedicated to
research on the abbey of St. Victor from its inception in 1108
until the end of the twelfth century. An abbey of canons
regular who followed the rule of St. Augustine, St. Victor
played a vital role in religion and politics during the
twelfth century. It stood at the center of the Gregorian
reforms and the burgeoning academic enterprise in Paris.
