The
Jacksonville Auditorium was built under the
administration of
C.F. Bright (left)
and J.H. Curry (right).
C.F. Bright
served as architect and builder for the Church of God Assembly
Auditorium for the Black Work, and J.H. Curry
was
the first black minister appointed to serve on an early Church of
God board of seventy elders, as well as being the first black
minister elected to the International Executive Council.
The auditorium served the local congregation and annual black assemblies for
many years.
