Donations Needed to Purchase Dissertations

By David Roebuck

In its mission to collect, preserve, and make available for research, Church of God, Pentecostal, and Charismatic documents, records, and other media, the Dixon Pentecostal Research Center welcomes donations to assist the Center.

Although the Center has an acquisitions budget, it is not nearly enough to fulfill the Center’s mission.  Economic inflation and a flat operating budget have led to a substantial decrease in the funds available to purchase books and materials related to the Pentecostal movement and the Church of God.

At this time, the Center is especially in need of funds to purchase dissertations that are being written about the Pentecostal movement.  Dissertations written at research universities are often the very best materials available on the history and theology of the Pentecostal movement, but they are expensive.  Those written at United States universities currently cost $47 each, while those written outside the United States are even more.  Donations made to the Research Center are tax deductible and may be mailed to:

Of course the Research Center is always looking for early Pentecostal materials and artifacts that donors may want to donate from their personal libraries.  This material is carefully sorted and those items that the Center does not already have are cataloged and made available for research.  If we already have a particular item, it is often passed along to another Pentecostal school or library that may need it for their collection.
