Jim
W. Burns, Composer/Lyricist:
Jim
wrote twelve original songs for the musical, Circuit
Rider’s Wife. He is an accomplished song writer, singer
/ actor, most recently performed in the operas Gianni Schicchi, Trial
by Jury and Amahl and the Night Visitors. He wrote five songs for Christmas
is Forever and appeared in the production at the Public Square
Opera House. He is the museum character, Rev. Walter Broomfield, a circuit
minister of the 1840's, at the Cleveland-Bradley Museum Center as one
of seven historic characters representing history in Southeast Tennessee.
Jim is Director of Graduate Music Studies at Lee
University and directs the Chancel Choir at FUMC in Cleveland. By
singular coincidence, he shares affection for their grand HoneyBoys
with the leading lady of his life, "The Silver Fox."
