Dr. Anderson is a
native of Greenville, S. C. She received her BA and PhD from the
University of South Carolina and her Masters Degree from Furman University.
After teaching in the South
Laura and husband Andy have two married daughters (Nikki Chambers and Jennifer Cavitt), both Lee graduates. One of the Anderson’s favorite pastimes is spending time with their family and with their three grandchildren, Dru, Jacob and Taylor. They are active members of Mt. Olive Church of God in Cleveland. Carolina
public elementary schools for 17 years, and serving as an adjunct professor at
the University of South Carolina, Dr. Anderson became a member of the College of
Education at Lee University in 1996. She teaches a number of elementary
methodology courses including Elementary Methods, Principles of Instruction, and
her favorite, Children’s Literature.
