The cross-cultural experience is a unique requirement for all students at Lee University. Domestic and international trips are available to students. Dr. Anderson has accompanied students to Moscow, California and England. This photo album reflects portions of these trips.

Moscow - 2001

Red Square, Lenin’s Tomb, St. Basil’s Cathedral….these are all facets of the Moscow Summer Abroad experience. Students studied children’s literature and shared books with Russian children in Public School 1209, an English magnet school in Moscow. Visiting St. Petersburg provided further exposure to the Russian culture. Everyone agreed this trip was one they would never forget!

The California Experience-2002

Fresno and San Francisco are areas rich with ethnic diversity. Lee students experienced this first hand by working in Robinson Elementary with Hispanic, African American, Hindu and Asian American students. Serving lunch to the homeless in inner city San Francisco broadened the experience of all. We found that our cultural understandings can be expanded within the borders of the United States as well as abroad.

Student Teaching in England - 2002

The language is the same but the culture is at times quite different. Student teaching in Cambridge, England has proven to be an exciting and popular choice for students since spring of 2000. Whether at St. Ives, Ely or Cambridgeshire, students have learned much from their English counterparts about education.
