Larry A. Bergeron is assistant professor of Christian Ministry and assistant director, Extension Programs, Center for Adult and Professional Studies (CAPS), Lee University.
He received a B.A. in Biblical Education with a minor in New Testament Greek from Lee College (1978), an M. Div. in Pastoral Studies, Theology and Bible from Ashland Theological Seminary, Ashland, Ohio (1985), an M.A. in Historical Theology from Ashland Theological Seminary, Ashland, Ohio (1985), and a D.Min. in Religious Studies (Leadership and Family Systems Theory), Ashland Theological Seminary, Ashland, Ohio (2000). During his masters work at Ashland Theological Seminary, he served as the teaching assistant to Drs. Jerry Flora (Theology and Bible) and O. Kenneth Walther (New Testament Greek).
Dr. Bergeron has broad experience in the Church of God, serving as curriculum ministries coordinator for the Church of God Publishing House, during which time he also served as Church of God General Assembly Exhibits chairperson (1990, 1992, 1994). He has served as an associate pastor and pastor for ten years in Washington state and Alabama. He was a district overseer while serving as pastor in Alabama (overseeing nine churches on his district).
Dr. Bergeron married Judy Howard Bergeron in 1980 and they have two children, Stephanie Danaé, graduated from lLee U niversity with a degree in health science, with the intention of becoming a nurse anesthetist, and Sean-Paul, who is a freshman at Lee Universitt.
