Can I Expect from Counseling Services?
Lee
University
students (those currently enrolled in courses), faculty and staff may receive
counseling services at no cost. The initial intake with your counselor will be
to discuss your concerns, assess needs and identify how we may assist you.
The Office of Counseling and Testing is responsible for delivering a broad range
of mental health services to the University community which may include the
following:
Individual
counseling,
Pre-marital
screening and preparation,
Personality testing,
Group counseling,
Psycho-educational workshops,
Referral to other
specialists,
Referral to our
staff psychiatrist for an evaluation for medication,
24-hour crisis
response referral,
Faculty/Staff
consultation,
Pre-screening for student teacher education candidates,
and
Outreach training.
Lee's Counseling
and Testing Staff is committed to helping you get the most out of your college
experience by offering individual counseling and testing evaluation within a
confidential setting where you can explore a variety of concerns including:
Anxiety,
Eating disorders,
Traumatic
experiences,
Substance abuse,
Sexual concerns,
Grief and loss,
Relationship
difficulties,
Stress and time
management,
Self-esteem and personality exploration,
and Adjustment disorders.
